DOUG RAY
The lead singer, and bassist for Chronos began his musical career at the age of four. His early interests were in drums, and he began touring with his family's southern gospel group, the Anchors in the late 1970's. As a teen Doug began exploring song writing and other instruments to broaden his musical scope. At age sixteen he began playing the bass guitar, the instrument that would later become his passion. Studying music independently through college, he continued to perform in the southern gospel field, while a looming interest in jazz and funk caused him to take his playing even further. Now, at age 28 Doug has taken the helm of leadership, in the spirit of his late father, and is driven to forge his way through the Christian music industry as a pilgrim in uncharted water with a fresh sound and a driving young band beside him.
