CHRIS FRANKLIN

Amidst all the flash and show of the sax, violin, drums, bass and guitar sits the background and "finishing" piece of Chronos; Chris Franklin's melodic keys. A drummer as a child, Chris began playing the keyboard at the age of 17. His father, an accomplished pianist, had played in from of him for years and years, and it was always evident that the young Franklin had musical ability. Mot until he was in his late teen years did the keyboard come out. He began leading worship at Northside Assembly, his home church, and joined fellow band mates Chris Blackard and Heather Franklin (sister) on stage as the backbone of a solid youth worship team. Chris provided leadership, experience, and a new found love of the keyboards to his fellow band mates. By the time Chronos had officially began touring in mid 2002, Franklin had surpassed all expectations by not only providing smooth background melodies, but intricate solos on organ and piano as well. Franklin finds his job in the band very satisfying, knowing that he fills a large emptiness that is present when hi is not there.
