CHRISTOPHER BLACKARD
The youngest member of the band, Chris Blackard was asked to join at the age of 14, and considering his talent, it is no wonder why Doug saw fit to snatch him up before anyone else. Chris began playing guitar at the age of 10, rotted in the church worship band that played three and sometimes four nights a week. His talent was first noticed by band keyboardist, and now Chronos keyboardist Chris Franklin. They forged a friendship as well as a musical partnership at Northside Assembly of God. Chris continued playing guitar and learning from various musicians in and around church. Once in the band, he began to stretch his musical style out past worship, and into fusion and rock, combining complex rhythms with staggered chords to produce the driving guitar parts needed for this marriage of jazz and rock. A the current pace, Chris looks to become a musical force in the Christian industry, as well as beyond.
